New ratings for 13 child car seats
CREP has published new ratings for 13 child car seats. One rearward facing seat, for babies up to six months old, scored a five-star protection rating, while four other seats scored four stars.
CREP is a partnership between Transport for NSW, The National Roads & Motorists' Association, Royal Automobile Club of Victoria, Transport Accident Commission, VicRoads and Kidsafe Australia.
More stringent CREP scoring protocols that apply from 2018 mean that child car seats assessed under the 2012 system cannot be compared to those tested under the 2018 scoring system.
Ratings for the 13 child car seats have been added to the website.
